For my new and existing Reader
Since I gained a lot more people here, I thought I would make a post like this. Even if you follow or subscribe to me for a long time, I finally found the courage to be honest about why it has become so quiet. A lot of people who read my recent posts know a bit more.
Luckily, I got some level of calmness to write this here, and I am grateful for that!
New Introduction
For those who are new, I am Lena, I am twenty-six years old, and I started this blog on Substack last year in November. It was a dream of my teenage self to have a publication about my interests. And now made my own blog out of it.
If you want to follow or subscribe to Substack, where I post some notes, you can do so here
After so many years of being afraid to post anything on the internet, just imagining someone reading my writing freaked me out, so I decided to stop letting my fear hold me back.
I am a highly ambitious person; if you let me, I would work 24/7 on something, but I am also a woman with health issues. And 24/7 without a break isn’t good for anyone. And I started this publication about slow living, femininity, beauty, and everything cozy.
Balance is everything, and a lot of misconceptions are about slow living, which couldn’t be further away from me, for example, in my ‘Slow living doesn’t mean lazy’ post.
My blog is about all of this, giving you some coziness and balance.
Life updates
Most people who follow my blog know by now that it’s so quiet and slow because I am dealing with some Health issues. It’s just not that alone. I am currently going through a process to see if I have another chronic illness. So, my life is filled with a lot of anxiety, and sadly, it’s a choice of writing here and functioning in my life at the moment.
I manage this all alone, since no one in my real life really takes this seriously, which means I have to put a lot of energy into myself. But that doesn’t mean I will never post here again in the next few weeks. I took a break and only wrote notes here and there.
Yet, luckily, my head MRI, which worried me the most in the past weeks, is done. Not the anxious times, since the results didn’t explain the symptoms, so the search for what is wrong is not over yet.
I am working on posts behind the scenes, just slower. They should come out soon!
Also, I am working on a big goal of mine for my future, which I am focusing a little energy on. And find new health solutions! I am testing something out. I got it new, but when I tested this out for a few more weeks, and it’s a good thing, I might write a blog post about this.
It’s a bit hard to open up, but I wanted to give you a little heads up; it’s not like I gave up on here. I just have a difficult time at the moment, since I don’t know what is going on. I hope this will pass in the next few weeks, and I know what is going on!

Future of this blog
Admittedly, I thought a lot about this blog, which means so much to me. And I have a list of new ideas, new post ideas, and so much more, I wanted to share with you guys.
When I finally feel better and can get it out, I want to post more here. I am doing my best at the moment, but in the future, I’d like to maybe post twice a week.
Obviously, I will do more slow living posts, but I want to bring in a bit more of the beauty aspect, which means a lot to me. And also self-love and self-care, since these are also part of the slow life. You can expect more productive tips too, which ties in my ambitious self with the balance I love to talk about!
The next few weeks might still be a bit slow, but I promise this here will be a publication with posts again soon, haha. I have a list full of ideas that are waiting to be done.
I wanted to write this because this means a lot to me, and having so many people interested in this publication is something I never dreamed of. But this is also the reality of a person with health issues, and now someone who has no idea what is going on in my own body sometimes.
Also, I don’t write this for pity, I just want to give an update! Life is unpredictable, but that makes us so strong. Even in the hardest moments, we need to show up for ourselves.
Take it from me: Even in the darkest moments, there is just light waiting. It sounds funny. It sounds unbelievable. But it’s the truth, I went through a lot of phases where I thought I would never get out, but I did.
xx
Lena
